APC
hosts an annual sports day as a nation building activity
for the persons with physical disabilities. Participants
are the clients and their families, APC staff , neighbouring
organisations, donors and funders. Physically challenged
and disadvantaged adults and children from various
communities in and around Durban, majority of which
are from outlying rural areas.
The objective of this day is to provide a fun and
exciting day for our service users. Many of whom have
few opportunities to meet with other people and feel
isolated in their own homes and communities. This
encourages integration and participation of everyone
involved. |
